Established in 1990, Acutest supplies technical instruments to the electrical and gas distribution networks, process control industries, and electrical and gas consumer installers. We have grown to become one of the UK’s largest test equipment specialists, now employing staff in three separate trading divisions. We have established ourselves as a leading player in the Supply, Repair & Calibration of Test Equipment.
The modern 14,000 sq.ft. head-quarters located in Staffordshire, houses our main warehouse and service centre and includes various sales and administration departments. In July 2016, Acute Sales Limited. was acquired by the Newbury Investments (UK) Limited. The group is successful in the electrical, DIY, gardening and security sectors.
The team is responsible for the sales of new test instruments and new calibration throughout the UK, covering utilities, EAWR1989, customer comfort, resale and training. The team of account managers cover all of the UK, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Channel Islands.
The team looks after all customer contacts regarding recalibration and service of our customer's test instruments, to both UKAS and Traceable Standards. The team of Internal Coordinators cover all of the UK, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Channel Islands.
Headed by James Chinnock for service, UKAS and calibration, the team covers service, repair and calibration both in-house and on-site. The team is fully trained by test instrument manufactures. There are three service centres located in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Newton Aycliffe and Bristol.
